MERMAID MUSTACHE

HOT SALT MADE WITH: SEA SALT • GHOST • SCORPION • REAPER • GINGER •TAMARI • WASABI • CANE SUGAR • MILD HARASSMENT

MADE IN SMALL BATCHES OF 50  •  HERE TODAY, GONE TOMORROW  •  FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE

Great people have the will to do whatever it takes to move forward, onward and upward, to handle what’s in front of them and what’s next. The very best of them manage to make the hard things fun and do it all with a sense of humor, and style.

This mildly hot and tasty blend of spice is inspired by that kind of ass kickiing optimist. A stoic with an easy smile and quick wit. Someone who will eat grocery store sushi and slap a mustache on a mermaid without missing a shot.

If something is “hideous” put the mustache on it and suddenly you’re having fun and what sucked becomes awesome, just like you knew it would be.

This Buddy Batch was made for Mike O'Dowd.  I met Mike at the first annual Operation 300 Frogman Shoot and instantly loved the dude.  He manages to bring just the right amount of humor and wit to a very serious endeavor and like I said before, he does it with style and makes it look easy.

You can learn more about Mike and how to train with him at the bottom of this page.

About that mermaid... You'll have to ask him what that's all about.

If you know, you know.

The Firecracker Farm Pusher is a refillable  laser-etched, stainless steel, push grinder. Solid in hand, convenient and incredibly satisfying to use. One push delivers a burst of savory heat whenever you need one.

Push Grinder Contains 17g (0.6oz) of  Hot Salt.
How many presses? About 515. Another 750+ in the refill pouch to keep you satisfied for quite a while.

The coarse sea salts we use are natural unprocessed sea-salts made by solar evaporation of brine and are not iodized.  They are refined by washing with clean saturated salt brine to remove surface impurities, drained of excess moisture, dried, and screened to size.

The Pusher is a spring loaded, thumb operated rasp style grinder. Pressing down on the depressor forces a rough banded steel rasp down through the opening at the bottom of the grinder and crushes the salt crystals as each band passes the salt blocking the opening. A fast press pulverizes the salt more thoroughly and creates a slightly finer grind. A slow press allows larger grains of Hot Salt to pass.

Each press of the pusher delivers 33mg of Hot Salt on average. A full pusher contains approximately 515 presses. That's a lot of heat! When compared to the number of uses from a typical bottle of specialty hot sauce (maybe 10)you can see how this will last. When you run out, we sell refill pouches.

Still here? Wow, you like reading!

People keep asking so I'll leave this up until Mike asks me to take it down:
The art is based on a brave fellow's tattoo of his ex-wife that he got while deployed if I recall correctly. It was her face on the mermaid. She thought it was "hideous" and was a b**** about it. Sadly, some people are incorrigible and after they parted ways, he slapped the shades and a mustache on that tattoo and called it a win. When I asked about the tattoo and he told me the story, that cemented it for me. The dude is a king, through and through. Tier one warrior meets so-cal surfer, entrepreneur-stud, with a super funny, easy edge. Gotta have guys like that in your life.
