How to refill a Firecracker Farm Hot Salt Pusher

Refilling takes about a minute. Watch it done, then follow the steps.

THE STEPS

  1. Open it. Turn the grinder upside down, grasp both metal parts firmly, and unscrew the wide end cap counterclockwise off the metal ring. It may be stiff at first; a little salt binds the threads.
  2. Set it up. With the cap off and the grinder still upside down, rest it on a table so the post points straight up.
  3. Fill it. Gently sprinkle hot salt in from the pouch, up to just below the threads on the metal ring. If you overfill, pour a little back into the pouch.
  4. Cap it. Replace the end cap with the post sticking up through the hole in the cap.
  5. Post not lining up? No big deal. Keep the grinder upside down and press it gently against a flat surface as if you were pumping it. The salt settles around the post and lets the post straighten.
  6. Tighten snug, not tight. The threads stay in good shape and the next refill is easier.

Need salt? The coarse (Crystal) refill is the same blend and grind we fill every grinder with. Keep the pouch sealed between refills and it stays fresh for years.
